It is generally applied when security units or intelligence agencies conclude that an individual is in the high-<g id=\"gid_0\">risk category <\/g>following their assessments. The purpose of this code is to temporarily prevent individuals who may threaten state security from leaving the country.  <\/p>\n<p>G-82 is not a penalty; <strong>it is a preventive administrative<\/strong> measure. However, its consequences are quite serious. If this code appears in the system during passport control, it may result in the person being stopped at the border.  <\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Who_is_it_applicable_to\"><\/span><strong>Who is it applicable to?<br \/><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>This code is not specific to a particular profession or charge. However, this does not mean that the person has been definitively charged with a crime. <\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Effects_of_Code_G-82\"><\/span><strong>Effects of Code G-82<br \/><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>This restriction directly affects the individual&#8217;s freedom of movement. If the code is processed: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your passport may become invalid or be revoked.<\/li>\n<li>A new passport application may be rejected.<\/li>\n<li>Visa procedures may be adversely affected,<\/li>\n<li>Exit is not permitted at border crossings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In such a situation, the person often learns of the code&#8217;s existence<strong> when attempting to leave<\/strong> the country.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_is_it_learned\"><\/span><strong>How is it learned?<br \/><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The existence of the G-82 code is generally not directly visible. On the e-Government portal, only the phrase <strong>&#8220;restriction exists&#8221;<\/strong> may appear in the &#8220;Overseas Exit Permit&#8221; section. For detailed information, a written application must be submitted to the relevant institutions. Therefore, the process is carried out through individual applications or through administrative courts.  <\/p>\n<p>In some cases, codes assigned due to administrative errors or confusion can be corrected quickly, while the process may take longer for security-based files.
